Although applications are down for the weekend, I highly recomend authors/creators to Script-based Virtual Series to head over to SG:Universe. The more people we get, the more effective our site will be! All you need to do is fill out a short form and submit an application to get your series listed on our website! You can submit an application here: sgu.valorin.net/join/(As I said above, this form won't let you submit an application until Monday) The site is still only half-working and looks dodgy at the moment, but that will change soon! (We will also be getting a domain name soon!)

Yeah, I'm already a member, and I hope that this thing really gets off the ground.

Ok, the application form ( here) is now accepting applications, so go and apply to join SGU! The site still needs a lot of work, but its getting a lot closer to working, and by applying your series will be displayed on the site as soon as it is accepted!

So, SGD is already a member, right? Or do we need to apply?

This is where we differ in choice - on GateWorld there is a thread where the writers of prose fiction are banding together to form their own version of StarGate Universe. This is NOT a good idea - we should have them on the SG Universe too and keep everyone together.
Have it about spin offs - both prose and script based ones. All it's going to do is to increase the readership of everyones shows if we increase the number of sites linking through SGU because, to be honest, how many script based shows are there ever going to be out there ?
I encourage you to rethink this decision and allow prose based virtual series' onto the board.

As much as I'd love to have them all on SGU, its out of my control.
However, I am more then happy for the two sites to be 'sister sites', linking to each other, so basically you go to one, and you will find the other. So they both benifit from each others viewers.
"to be honest, how many script based shows are there ever going to be out there ?" A lot less then the Novel based ones, and to be honest, we can't realistically feature 10+ different series, which have each released only a few episodes, fairly.
Although, don't rule out the impossible, but realistically the site-design and functions for a novel-series site is going to be drastically different to the design and functions for a script-series (like SGU).
--
Edit: Want a sec... Just let me confirm something, these novel based series, is it a case of releasing a few episodes here and there, or the full weekly releases like Horizon, just written differently, but ultimately does the same job?
I have been thinking of the former, while the latter is virtually the same as what SGU accepts. As I said, it is not under my control to change the policy, but if if is the latter then I will see what we can do.

I don't want to have it for novel based series', we're gonna be linking with them, Ive already been talking to them and besides theyll be using zymic templates so weve got the site look over them.

Well, I kind of agree with terminus here. We don't want a PSGU war going on.

Those guys will only be accepting prose based virtual spin-offs, of which are 2 I think.

There won't be a war, I think as long as both sites keep freindly it will all work out ok. That or we'll have mondless anarchy either way good times for me:D
