And I think I've said before that you'll get to see them around the middle of the season.

Since you are exploring a new galaxy where SOME Ancients escaped to, I think it would be interesting to explore what became of this particular group. Did they ascend like we assume all Ancients did, or was their ultimate fate something completely different? Also I think it might be ineresting to introduce a minor enemy that is AI in some way instead of carbon-based.

That'd be cool , but I'd prefer a minor enemy being a race from the far side of the galaxy. Cause the Malecathi inhabit a large chunk, the Destiny team may run acrosst several minor enemies and valuble allies. Hey? Where are the Anterac and Dalomir going to be seen?

Interesting you should say that, because the Ep I'm writing now deals somewhat with this issue.

And the ancients actions in the new galaxy also lead to some bad things for them!

Well, it seems that wherever the ancients go, trouble is not far behind.
And about the Anterac and Dalomir, I know I said in my blog that we might see them used in some way somewhere else, but I meant by this that we'll probably only see their names used for other things, not their actual concepts. So if there's a race that I cant think of a name for, I might just call them the Dalomir or the Anterac.

Cool, EAG. I must be psychic! Lol. I was also thinking that it would be cool to see you guys explore more exotic planets than just the "earth-like" ones. It would definitely be cool to see the team have to adapt to this new galaxy in more ways than one.

I'm rather liking the planet and climate of the planet in my ep, I think it really compliments the moods in it!

Why don't you have a variety of worlds, dead rocks, gas giants, super gas giants, ice worlds, etc. You know you have a galaxy to explore there is billions of planets to visit.

I like the idea of exploring what a smaller group of Ancients did in a far off galaxy. We know from Pegasus what kind of problems the Ancients' arrogance played in the mess everyone their is currently in. It might be interesting to explore what these Ancients did in this new galaxy to upset the order. Were they already infected by the virus killing off the rest of them? Did they maybe have a natural immunity to the virus but still remained contagious? If so, how did the Ancients' contact with new life-forms alter those new life-forms' evolution---for better or worse? Did they unwitting play creators to yet another menace in this new galaxy? I like exploring these types of hypotheses. It is not unlike ourselves exploiting new habitats and environments here on Earth and unwittingly awakening dormant viruses or bacteria, or altering entire indigenous species just by our mere presence. I love parallels! Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of action as well. I just hope to see well written dialog, good character development, and creative plot-lines as well. I really can't wait to see what you guys come up with. As an avid reader of anything Stargate, I look forward to another place to get my fix.

Yeah, well this is one of the great things about having your series take place in a far off galaxy: you can establish any kind of backstory you want. Right now, ours is pretty solid, and as I have said, you may be surprised a bit. I will say this: keep in mind that these ancients numbered in the hundreds, and were pretty desperate. That's all I'll say.
As for the planets, we're doing an Ice planet if all goes well to the end of the season, and I think we're going to do a Coruscant-like planet as well. Like I said, it wont just all be forest.
