Ye.....which was said? It'd be cool, if we're having that range of weapons, might as well use them.

Ok, sure. Combat missions only. Done. And the marines use them all the time

One per squad sounds good.

Sub-Machine Gun/PDW Configuration (Takeshi carries one of these usually, as would Jonas on a combat mission) Light Machine Gun/Squad Automatic Weapon Configuration (Hemmingway would carry one of these) Sniper Configuration (Tenyris carries one of these when not carrying his bow) As for sidearms, the Destiny teams will use the 9mm Beretta Pistol and the Zatnikatel weapon. Pictures from world.guns.ru[/quote] Thats a good way of stating whos using what configuration. I would like to see those really used in SG: A tho. Because their gonna need some more weapons and better ones since their gonna be doing hit and run with the Wraith now.

Personally i'm still against using the Zat's in Destiny, I think Atlantis had it right trying to separate the series' by removing them. But hey it's up to Geoff in the end.

Well, I just think the Zat's are a great sidearm. They can stun, where our Pistols can kill, or just, kill.

The P-90 sub machine gun is used now days in the special forces. The M8 is a new more versatile weapon schedualed for wide spread aplication in 2006. So yeah it rocks and all lol.

Yeah, I think it makes sense that we're using it. We're good like that.

Well, to tell you the truth if you say your guy's M8 is going to be operational in 2006, doesn't that mean we got to use it too, on Icarus.

I mean, it's like its gonna be POOF and all of the sudden, all of the P90's are gone. Maybe you can phase out the P90 sometime in the middle of the series, like SG1 did with the MP5.

And anyway maker, the M8 is jsut for the army, special forces will likely stick to the P-90, it's actualyl a better gun for quick close range missions, and theres so many already in operation that it won't become totally standard untill at least 2008.
